India's Amity University has signed a pact with a Jordanian varsity offering its students dozens of online courses, including masters and bachelors programmes.

Amity University Online has signed the co-operation pact with Jordan's Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University (TAGIUNI) to provide online education to its students at affordable cost, TAGIUNI's official statement said today.

"The confluence of Amity University Online and TAGIUNI will have a higher impact on addressing the issue of internationally accredited higher education at affordable cost which will now be made available at the doorsteps of those who need most, Amity University Online Dean of Distance Learning Dr Manoj Sharma said.

"We are excited about our collaboration with TAGIUNI and look forward to a long and healthy relationship," Sharma added.

TAGIUNI President Talal Abu-Ghazaleh observed that "Amity University Online is helping us realise our mission to democratise world-class education."

"Affordability, coupled with quality, is what makes Amity a noble partner worthy of global recognition," added Abu-Ghazaleh.

Amity University Online is a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and its Online programmes are recognised by University Grants Commission(UGC) and Distance Education Council from Government of India.
