Amplus inks MoU with UP to invest Rs 2.2k cr

Gurgaon-based Amplus Energy Solutions today said it has signed an MoU with Uttar Pradesh for investing Rs 2,200 crore over next five years to set up 500 MW solar power capacity in the state.

The MoU was signed at the UP Investors Summit, a company statement said.

Amplus said it already has several projects in UP.

Speaking about the new MoU, Amplus Energy's Managing Director and CEO Sanjeev Aggarwal said, "We are excited to be associated with the state government in their journey and are committed to install solar capacity of 500 MW in the state in the next 5 years."
 

Amplus said it is diversifying in new avenues such as battery storage, energy efficiencies, smart cities, and concentrated solar power technologies among others.
