Amputated limbs cause panic among citizens

Human limbs including amputated hands and legs found near a central government education institution caused panic among citizens here today.

Talking to reporters, Chilkalapudi Circle Inspector Janardhana Rao said that the limbs were amputated in the District Government Hospital.

"Municipal sanitation authorities were asked to either burn or bury these in the outskirts but they dumped it near the Kendriya Vidyalaya instead, which caused panic among citizens. Municipal officials removed these after the police spoke to them," the police official said.

A large number of amputated hands, legs, skulls and other organs were found at the Machilipatnam Kendriya Vidyalaya located on the by-pass road, causing panic among citizens.
 

Residents said that they had complained to the police after found dogs eating amputated human limbs at a garbage yard.
