"1971" won the National Film Award for best Hindi feature film and marked the foray of Moti Sagar Productions into film production.

"I had always wanted to do a comedy film. When I finished '1971', I was already writing 'Rabba..'. This is very different from my first film. Comedy has been the flavour of the season and this film celebrates the lighter side of life. The audience is going to have as much of a blast as we had making the film," Sagar told PTI.

When asked what he was doing in these five years, Amrit said he was busy with his TV productions.

"I was busy with TV. I did successful shows like 'Prithviraj Chauhan', 'Sai Baba' and was also working on 'Rabba..'. A film takes a long time to fall into place. I was writing the film for two years, then casting took another six to seven months and a year to shoot it. So it is not like I was not doing anything," he said.

"Rabba Main Kya Karoon" stars Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raj Babbar, Shakti Kapoor and also marks the debut of the director's brother Akash Sagar Chopra.

"Although Akash scored music for '1971', he had inclination towards acting. I did not cast Akash because he is my brother. He really had to work hard, train hard to bag the role. He even did Hindi theatre for quite some time to hone his acting skills," Amrit said.

The filmmaker is currently working on his next venture which could either be an adventure, epic or an biographical film.

"I have written an epic, an adventure as well as a biography. I am trying to figure out which one to finally make," he said.

"Rabba Main Kya Karoon" will hit theatres sometime between September-October.
