Chancellor of Amrita University, Mata Amritanandamayi will make an introductory keynote address at an event organised by United Nations titled "Skills and Technology Accelerating Rapid Transformation" (UNAI-START) on July 8.
Amritanandamayi will make the address during the first programme in a new series of event UNAI-START.
The university, headquartered at Ettimadai, Coimbatore, faculty will then present cutting-edge research with their international collaborators from global universities, including Cambridge, EPFL, Monash, National University of Singapore, Oxford, Stanford, a release issued here said.

The research will exemplify how emerging technologies can accelerate progress on the UN's proposed Sustainable development goals, it said.
Featured technologies will include human-computer interaction, nanoscience and molecular medicine, biotechnology and wireless networking, it added.
The UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact) will then inaugurate an online portal created by Amrita University to encourage further discussion and collaboration among university researchers worldwide on technology for global sustainable development.
"We are honoured to be co-convening with the UNAI the first event in this new series. We are proud that we are the first (university) to be invited to be part of this series. We are looking forward to presenting some of our research and technological developments," University's Dean of Research, Dr Shantikumar Nair said.
UNAI is a global initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in furthering the realisation of the purposes and mandate of the UN through activities and research in a shared culture of intellectual social responsibility.
