Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) today condemned the terror attack on an army-run school in Peshawar, terming it as not only an assault on human lives, but an attack on modern educational values.

"This is not only an assault on human lives, but also vicious attack on modern educational values," a release from the university said here.

"The AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt Gen Zameeruddin Shah, and the entire university community have expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved families," it said.

At least 132 students and nine staffers were killed when Taliban suicide attackers stormed into the school on Tuesday.
