AMU girl goes missing

An undergraduate girl student of

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) went missing after she boarded a train to Aligarh from New Delhi.

The girl had boarded the train on November 8 but did not reach Aligarh and her cell phone is also switched off, her family, which met AMU Proctor Jamshed Siddiqui yesterday, said.

The University had forwarded the report filed by the girl's family to the police last night and a case had been filed at the Civil Lines police station, the AMU Proctor today told reporters.

The girl was staying at a private lodge in the Civil Lines area.
 

Earlier, the girl's family had also approached the Delhi Police in this connection.
