Actress Amy Adams has reportedly been approached to star in the adaptation of 'Story of Your Life'.
The 'American Hustle' star is apparently in negotiations to star in the movie adaptation of Nebula and Hugo award-winning author Ted Chiang's sci-fi short story, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Adams, 39, will be playing the role of Dr Louise Banks, an expert linguist who is recruited by the military when alien spacecrafts land around the world and she is asked to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat.
Canadian filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, 46, is on board to direct the movie.
The script for the project has been written by Eric Heisserer and it will be produced by FilmNation and producer David Linde's Lava Bear Films.
The film is slated to go on floors next year.
