Former "The Only Way Is Essex" star Amy Childs has hit back at critics after she unveiled her new anti-cosmetic surgery campaign, which shows her in a coffin.
Childs stars in the campaign alongside "TOWIE" friend Danielle Armstrong, to highlight the dangers of going under the knife, reported Daily Mirror.
Childs has been open about her cosmetic surgery procedures in the past, which caused some users on social media to brand her a "hypocrite" for taking part in the campaign.
But on Instagram Childs answered her critics, saying that she took part in order to highlight the dangers of rushing into surgery.
"You may have seen my recent pic from @3DLipo #DyingToBeBeautiful campaign," Childs wrote.
"Many people are calling me a hypocrite for getting involved in this campaign but I want to set the record straight.
"Being involved in this campaign doesn't make me a hypocrite, it makes me educated. Yes, many people have pointed out I have in fact had surgery and I am not going to deny that. I've always been open about the procedures I've had done and even more open about the mistakes I've made.
"The reason for me getting involved with this campaign is to highlight to young, impressionable girls and boys out there (like I was myself) that you shouldn't rush into the decision to go under the knife to change your body like I did."
Childs went on to say that advances in technology mean that there are now safe and effective non-surgical alternatives on the market.
The 26-year-old ended with a message to fans telling them to "research and stay safe always" when thinking about cosmetic surgery.
