A world-class airport will be set up at Dalbhumgarh in Ghatsila sub-division of Jharkhand, Union minister Jayant Sinha said today.

A high-level technical team of Airport Authority of India has visited the place and identified land which is to be acquired by the state government, the minister of state for civil aviation told reporters here.

He said 300 acres of land would be required to set up the airport.

The proposed site is situated near an abandoned airport that was built during the 2nd World War at Chakulia in the sub-division.
