Essaying the on-screen mom and daughter in Mainak Bhaumik's 'Take One', popular actor Swastika Mukherjee says she believes an ideal modern day working mother should be "like the way I am".
Inaugurating the 'Baby's Day Out' programme of a prominent city maternity home, the 'Maach Misti and More' actor told PTI, "Rather than a daughter, my 14-year old darling is like my sister.
"We visit parties at pub at times and she gulps fruit juice. We go on trip together and have a blast. She knows how to give me space. But I would never want her to be part of showbusiness. Mainak is more than a family and so I agreed to cast her in 'Take One' but this is for the last time for sure," Swastika, said at the 'Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre' event.

"I had never ever given it a thought, how stressful it could turn out to be a single mom, as I took things the way they are. I made my daughter believe as if we two were growing together, and I don't believe I have done anything extraordinary, Swastika, whose performance in Buddhadev Dasgupta's award-winning 'Janala' was appreciated, said.
"Swastika is the epitome of a perfect mom - who is talented, articulate and vivacious - and she can be the most fitting person to commemorate the birth of thousands of babies, including twins and triplets, at the Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre," institute's Director and socialite Madhu Neotia said.
With 'Chhota Bheem', 'Spiderman' and other comic characters mingling with the small kids, Swastika, who etches out the role of an RJ in Jaatiswar, said, "I wish my daughter were here and attended this Around the World carnival."
"This is the only event for babies and their parents in the country to my knowledge. We have also set up separate infertility department for women not having children in the normal process," Madhu Neotia, entrepreneur, said.
