Anand Kumar of Super 30 receives award from Jaitley

Anand Kumar, who runs Patna-based Super 30 coaching institute for underprivileged students, has been honoured with the Lakshmipat Singhania IIM Lucknow National Leadership Award by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

The award conferred on Kumar yesterday for successfully running Super 30 programme, which has helped hundreds of students from underprivileged sections of the society successfully chase their IIT dream since its inception in 2002.

Through the programme, Anand selects 30 students and mentors them for a year without charging any fee.

"Every award makes me realise the huge responsibility associated with it. Awards work as great encouragement and I will continue working with greater zeal," Kumar said.
