Initiating a campaign under 'Swachh Bharat Mission', Fertilizer Minister Ananth Kumar today appealed to employees of all the departments and PSUs under his ministry to dedicate 100 hours every year to keep cities and towns clean.

"The drive to create a cleaner India is much simpler than it may appear. All it needs is your willingness to dedicate 100 hours every year, 2 hours of voluntary labour every week to the cause and inspire 100 others to do the same," Ananth Kumar said in a statement.

He also gave a slogan -- 'Kuchh achha hai karke dikhana, swachh Bharat hai hamein banana' -- to the campaign.

Appealing all the departments and PSUs under the jurisdiction of his ministry, Kumar said: "I invite all my colleagues in the ministry and in the government undertakings under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers... All fellow citizens to take a simple vow of keeping the environment clean and of being the change in inspiring others to join this sacred mission".
