Lieutenant Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lt Gen (Retd) A K Singh today greeted the people on the occasion of 'Ganesh Chaturthi'.
"Ganesh Chaturthi heralds the advent of Lord Ganesha signifying a period of mirth and celebration. This festival assumes significance owing to the manner in which the devotees show their love and faith to worship and embrace Lord Ganesha," Singh said.
"Let the spirit of Lord Ganesha always bless our islanders so that they can continue to live in peace and harmony in these beautiful Islands," he said.
