Andhra Chief Minister Naidu to visit China next week

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu will visit China from April 12 to scout for Chinese investments and technology for various energy and infrastructure projects in his state for the construction of a new capital.

Fresh from his visit to Singapore where the blueprint for the new capital is being worked out, Naidu will address business and investors meetings in Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai besides holding talks with Chinese officials.

He would be accompanied by a business delegation during his week-long trip.

Besides Singapore, Naidu has already visited Japan seeking Japanese investment and assistance to build the capital on 30,000 acres in Guntur-Vijayawada region in five years at an estimated cost of Rs one lakh crore.
 

The Andhra Pradesh Government on April 1 had decided to name the new capital of the state as 'Amaravathi', after the ancient seat of power of the Satavahanas.
