State Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said 3,300 acres of land will be distributed during the sixth phase of 'Land Distribution Programme' in the district.

During the programme, the Revenue officials would also survey and finalise land that is to be distributed to the poor in the sixth phase of land distribution.

So far, the government had distributed 7 lakh acres in five phases since 2004, she said, adding tribals in the agency areas will emerge as the biggest beneficiaries of the programme.

Reddy directed the officials to hold a meeting every three months to address the issues of tribals.
