"Oblivion" star Andrea Riseborough will play the lead in Michael Morris' directorial "To Leslie".

The film, which has a screenplay by Ryan Binaco, is said to be inspired by the life of Morris' mother, reported Deadline.

Riseborough, 37, will essay the role of Leslie, a West Texas single mother who won the lottery and squandered it just as fast, leaving behind a world of heartbreak.

Years later, with her charm running out and nowhere to go, she fights to rebuild her life and find redemption.

Morris, who previously worked with the actor on "Bloodline", said she is the ideal person to play the title character.

"Andrea is totally committed to the truth. She thinks incredibly deeply about the smallest moments and as an actress she is constantly surprising, challenging and fearless," he added.

Claude Dal Farra and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures will produce along with Kelsey Law. Binaco will also executive produce the project.
