Diversified PSU Andrew Yule & Company's net loss widened to Rs 5.81 crore in the April-June quarter, from Rs 1.73 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
The total income of the company, which is also engaged in tea manufacturing, slowed to Rs 66 crore during the first quarter of current fiscal, from Rs 75 crore in the first three months of 2016-17 fiscal, Andrew Yule said in a filing to the BSE.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 27.75 on the BSE.

The company's standalone net loss was Rs 16.25 crore in the quarter ended on June 30, 2016, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd said in a BSE filing today.
It stated that its total income during quarter under review was Rs 309.6 crore, up from Rs 302.83 crore in same period a year ago.
Meanwhile, Schneider Electric India which is the holding company in India, announced opening of its new office in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
