His salt-n-pepper avatar in the upcoming dysfunctional family drama "Dil Dhadakne Do" is getting rave reviews but actor Anil Kapoor said he did not use any wig for the look.
Anil, who is sporting grey hair for the first time, plays the father of two grown-up children (Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh) in the film.
"I am excited about my look. It was very difficult to get that right. Actors generally go for a wig but I chose to look as real as possible. We really worked hard to get that salt-n-pepper appearance," Anil told PTI.

The "No Entry" star feels Zoya, who last helmed "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara", is a brilliant director to work with.
"She is just fantastic. The film has shaped up really well. When I work in a film, I never discriminate between a male and female director. I think there should not be any disparity between the two because at the end of the day we all work for the betterment of the Bollywood," he said.
The film will have its screening at IIFA 2015 on June 6, a day after its release worldwide.
The actor, who is one of the prominent faces of the award extravaganza, feels the ceremony is bigger than any domestic award shows.
"IIFA is completely different. You cannot find any award show like this. It's like a festival-cum-award show. It's like Cannes and Oscar. I am not comparing IIFA with them because they are done on much larger scales. We are trying to do our best."
Asked if he will be accompanying his actress daughter Sonam Kapoor to Malaysia, the venue of IIFA this year, Anil said, "Sonam is not coming to IIFA as she will be busy with her shooting."
The doting father wished his daughter luck for her red carpet appearance at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival and said he hopes for the best.
"I am a very positive person. I always try to see the good things in bad things. My life has always been like that. So, I am very positive and I think it's going to be great. This red carpet would be even better than her previous appearances," he said.
