Besides the young shooters from London Olympics bronze medallist Narang's Gun for Glory academy, Maharashtra, too, dominated proceedings at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Shooting Range in Balewadi.
Mampi Das, from the Gun for Glory Academy, was leading in the 10m air rifle women's category as well as in the junior section.
Shriyanka Sadangi and Jui Singh held the second and third position respectively in the 10m air rifle women (civilian) category. Both are students of the Gun for Glory academy.
Rakesh Manpat led the 10m air rifle men's category with P T Raghunath following him.
The six-day ongoing championship is being organised by 'Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation' and Gun for Glory Academy.

More than 1200 entries have already been received for participation in the tournament.
Besides Narang and tournament director Pawan Singh, the event is being supported by three-time National award winning actor Nana Patekar.
The line-up also includes Best Athlete of 2006 Commonwealth Games, Samresh Jung, and shooting sensation Ronak Pandit.
