It was a premature end to Ankita Raina's campaign at the USD 50000 ITF Women's event here as she lost both her singles and doubles matches today.

Troubled by cold and cough, Ankita proved no match to Japanese sixth seed Hiroko Kuwata, losing the singles second round 0-6 1-6 in a jiffy at Shaanxi Tennis Center.

Later, she combined with Serbian partner Barbara Bonic for the doubles quarterfianls but they went down fighting 6-3 4-6 6-10 against Chinese pair of Jia-Jing Lu and Yafan Wang.

"I was not able to move well since I am down with cold and cough. It's been bad since I started my travel," Ankita said.

"She (Hiriko) is a good retriever but If I was fit, I could have beaten her.
