The Jharkhand NHRM/ANM/GNM Anubandhit (contractual) Sangh today continued its indefinite strike that began on Friday, defying the state government's appeal to call off the strike and join the pulse polio campaign in the interest of the people.
"About 5,500 ANM/GNM are on indefinite strike on our charter of demands, particularly confirmation of our jobs," Sangh president Dharni Kumari said.
"The government has not offered dialogue so far. Tomorrow we will sit on dharna near the Raj Bhavan," she said.
