Farmers agitation here saw anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare and Aam Admi Party activists sharing dais to lend support to their protest against builders and the Greater Noida Authority.

Several Aam Admi Party (AAP) workers were seen at the dharna site as Hazare addressed the agitating farmers, after his Jantantra Yatra reached Greater Noida.

After Hazare, Manish Sisodia from AAP also addressed the farmers, who are staging dharna since March 19.

In his 20-minute speech, Hazare said, "Though over 60 years have passed when India got freedom, farmers condition has deteriorated instead of showing signs of improvement."

"While farmers are sowing crops for the country by toiling in fields, those in power and brokers are cheating innocent farmers and forcing them to sell their land at cheap rates."

"Though elected representatives used to be public servants and people the master, but now these politicians are behaving as masters and treating public as servant," he said.

He said though public get a chance to punish corrupt politicians during elections but they either do not vote or vote for wrong persons.

He appealed the public to vote for right candidate who can serve the poor without personal interest and can help in rooting out corruption from the society.

Former army chief General V K Singh also addressed the farmers.
