Actor Anna Paquin is all set to star in Martin Scorsese's next "The Irishman".

The 35-year-old Oscar-winning actor will be portraying the role of Frank 'The Irishman' Sheeran (Robert DeNiro)'s daughter, a reputed hitman who was suspected to have been involved in the disappearance of Teamsters leader Jimmy Hoffa in 1975, reported Deadline.

Paquin will play Peggy, a strong-headed woman who despises her father's lifestyle and has distanced herself from him over the years.

She gets attracted to Hoffa (Al Pacino) as someone who does not belong to the mafia and goes about creating social impact with his connections.

The film is based on the book by Charles Brandt, "I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank The Irishman Sheeran and the Inside Story of the Mafia, the Teamsters, and the Final Ride by Jimmy Hoffa".

The cast also includes Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, Stephen Graham, Kathrine Narducci, Gary Basaraba, J C Mackenzie and Craig Vincent.

"The Irishman" is expected to hit the screens next year.
