The "Devil Wears Prada" star was in the Big Apple following Monday night's premiere of the highly-anticipated "The Dark Knight Rises".
Following rave reviews of her turn as Catwoman in the new Batman movie, the 29-year-old actress kept herself grounded by riding the subway with other commuters, reported Us magazine.
Despite the high praise for the film and Hathaway's portrayal of the feline femme fatale, she happily ditched her A-list status to board a hot and crowded subway train on Tuesday.
Hathaway was snapped embracing and kissing Shulman while travelling on the underground in the city.
