The fifth annual Harmukh Ganga yatra in north-east Kashmir will be held from September 11 to 15.

The registration for the five-day yatra, to be organised by Harmukh Ganga (Gangbal) Trust and All Parties Migrants' Coordination Committee, started today.

The yatra to the holy lake of Gangbal in Harmukh range was restarted after a gap of 100 years in 2009, vice president Harmukh Ganga Gangbal Trust and APMCC spokesperson King C Bharti said in a joint statement here.

He expressed hope that pilgrims from across the country will participate in the yatra this year.

Devotees will assemble at Srinagar on September 11 and from there will proceed towards Naran Naag in Kangan area of Ganderbal district before advancing to the holy Gangbal lake on foot on September 12, Bharti said.

Pilgrims will return from Gangbal on September 15, the spokesperson said, adding last date for registration is August 20.
