Anonymous letter threatens to attack Rahul, Narayanasamy

An anonymous letter threatening to attack Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and former union minister V Narayanasamy at an election meeting, has been received by the latter at his residence here.

AICC General Secretary Narayanasamy told PTI from Karaikal over phone that he had received an "unsigned letter" at his residence here on May 5, threatening to attack him and Gandhi.

The letter written in Tamil stated, "Your party is responsible for closure of industries in Puducherry. We will attack you and your former Prime Minister's son and blast (you two) while attending a meeting."

Narayanasamy said he had filed a complaint with police and also informed the party high command.
 

Gandhi is scheduled to address a poll rally of the Congress-DMK alliance at Karaikal tomorrow.
