P Ramesh Kumar, principal secretary to the labour department, has been shifted as principal secretary to the fire and emergency services department.
Amal Roychowdhury, presently labour commissioner, has been elevated and will assume charge as secretary to the labour department, state secretariat sources said.
P D Bandopadhyay, secretary to the forest department, has been transferred as secretary to the civil defence department.
