Indian grapplers were listless on the fourth day of the World Junior Wrestling Championships as four women lost their opening bouts, in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Mamta Rani was thrashed by Russia's Anzhelika Vetoshkina in the opening round of the 48-kg category while Pooja Dhanda (55kg) went down tamely against local girl Evelina Georgieva Nikolova at Arena Armeetz.

In the 63kg category, Sarita was completely dominated by Jennifer Page of the US in the opening contest.

Manisha Mahadev Divekar too lost her opening bout to Russia's Tatiana Morozova. The 72kg wrestler got to play repechage round but there also could not make a mark as she lost to Natalia Rodriguez Luyando of Puerto Rico who matted her in the first period itself.

The junior men freestyle competition will begin tomorrow.
