Another body washed away in flash floods traced

Body of another tourist, who was washed away in flash floods caused by a cloud burst in Lot Nalla was recovered today from Sutlej river near Grat Nall, police said.

The body was floating on the river when it was spotted by the relatives of missing persons who had arranged a boat to locate the bodies.

The deceased have been identified as Amanpreet Singh, a resident of Chahrmajra in Nawan Shahar, Punjab.

The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem, police said.

Yesterday, body of the guide was recovered and district administration is hopeful of recovering the remaining three bodies as well, they said.
 

"We have handed over the body to the parents after conducting post-mortem and Rs 50,000 has also been given to the kin of the deceased," police added.
