Another BSF constable nabbed while trying to smuggle drugs

Punjab Police arrested a BSF constable, the second person from the border guarding force in as many days, when he was trying to smuggle drugs into India from Pakistan.

Tarn Taran SSP Rajjit Singh said here today that constable Vikramit Singh was directly linked with yesterday's huge seizure of drugs.

Narcotic drugs with an estimated value of Rs 95 crore, allegedly smuggled from Pakistan, were seized here and two persons, including a BSF constable, arrested in this connection yesterday.

The Special Operations Cell on Punjab police along with district police arrested BSF constable Gurpreet Singh and Gurwinder Singh near Khadoor Sahib area here and seized 19-kg heroin worth Rs 95 crore, the SSP said.
