One more DMDK district secretary today joined the DMK, two days after his North Chennai counterpart switched loyalties to the Karunanidhi-led party.
Kanyakumari District (West) Secretary Dinesh today joined DMK in the presence of party treasurer M K Stalin.
He said he chose to join the DMK to protest against the decision of the DMDK leadership to not align with the Karunanidhi-led party.

He claimed that the decision of the party top brass went "against the wishes of the party rank and file" and hinted that several other party functionaries may also consider moving away from DMDK.
On March 30, DMDK North Chennai District Secretary Yuvaraj had quit the party and joined DMK in the presence of party chief Karunanidhi.
DMDK functionaries joining DMK comes against the background of several MDMK men joining the Karunanidhi led party in the recent past.
After Yuvaraj quit the party, DMDK leader Premalatha had lashed out Stalin, and asked him to not do "cheap politics by luring DMDK partymen."
Addressing an election meeting in Dindigul, she had urged her partymen not to fall prey to "offers made by DMK or others", and said the district secretaries would get a fair chance to become Ministers if DMDK comes to power.
