Another island likely to open for tourists in MP next month

Another island, surrounded by waters of Narmada river, being developed in Khandwa district is likely to be thrown open for tourists this month.

"We are preparing an island close to Omkareshwar Dam in Khadwa district. This project is likely to open for tourists this month," a top official of MP State Tourism Department Corporation (MPSTDC) said.

"The island will have a 23 resort rooms, restaurant and boat club," he added.

He said that this is going to be the second island to be developed after Hanumantiya, which was attracting large number of tourists.
