Another PIL was filed today in the Kerala High Court seeking CBI probe into the solar panel scam, which has been rocking the state since the past two months.

The petition is expected to come up before court tomorrow.

Petitioner, one Ubaid of Pathnamthitta submitted that no proper investigation into the solar case was held and no investigation to find out the source of money, CCTV kept in the office of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was not decoded, assistance of Forensic Science Laboratory and C-Dat were not sought. Only two accused were made "scapegoats", it was stated.

The petitioner's specific plea was that in the complaint filed by Sreedharan Nair, the solar scam involving Chief Minister's office needs to be investigated by CBI.

There is 'lethargy' in investigation and allegations are against senior bureaucrats and senior officers of the government. Allegations have also been raised against central ministers. Officers investigating the case have been handpicked by the government and impartial investigation will not be done in the case, the petitioner submitted.

Earlier, K Sudhakaran of South Paravur in Kollam had approached the court seeking CBI probe into the scam in which Biju Radhakrishnan and Saritha S Nair are the main accused.

The petitioner had also stated that the investigation by police will not be fair and transparent as the chief minister and Home minister are under the cloud.
