Another reshuffle in IAS cadre in Bengal

In another major reshuffle in West Bengal's top bureaucracy, six IAS officials were today transferred.

State Home Ministry sources said here that State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (SEDCL) chairman Narayan Swaroop Nigam has been made the managing director of Calcutta State Transport Corporation (CSTC) replacing Biswadeb Dasgupta, who has been asked to take over as special secretary, transport.

Minority Affairs and Madrasa Education secretary S A Baba has been asked to take over as secretary of the Youth and Sports Department.

Youth Service and Sports secretary Rajesh Pandey has been asked to take over as managing director, Power Development Corporation Limited (PDCL).
 

Disaster Management secretary Suresh Kumar has been given additional charge of Minority Affairs and Madrasa Education department.

Finally, retired IAS officer Trilochan Singh has been appointed as New State Vigilance Commissioner, the sources added.

Five top IAS officials were transferred in a reshuffle yesterday.
