Another sultry day in Delhi, rain likely tomorrow

Delhiites witnessed another cloudy and humid day today while weatherman has predicted light rains in most parts of the national capital on Independence Day tomorrow.

"The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year. The minimum settled at 28.6 degrees, two notches above the normal," a MeT official said.

Humidity levels oscillated between 87 and 68 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted some respite tomorrow with the possibility of rains.

"Generally clouded sky and thundershower can occur in several areas tomorrow," the official added.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 34 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively.
 

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum had settled at 28 degrees.
