Another TDP MLA joined his colleagues today in the Telangana Rashtra Samiti-led state government.

TDP MLA from Parkal in Warangal, C Dharma Reddy said here today that he has decided to join the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) in the interest of "development of his constituency" and in deference to the wishes of party activists.

His decision came a day after two TDP MLAs namely T Srinivas Yadav and T Krishna Reddy, announced their support to the TRS-led Telangana state government.

He felt that he could work better for the development of his constituency if he joined the ruling TRS.

However, Dharma Reddy said that TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had always encouraged him.

"I should develop my constituency the way he (Naidu) developed Andhra," he said.

Responding to the two TDP MLAs switching loyalties, Naidu expressed confidence yesterday that the TDP would not be adversely affected even if some MLAs quit the party.

During the May elections to the 119-member Telangana Assembly, the TDP had bagged 15 seats.
