Vice President M Hamid Ansari today broke his security protocol to reach out to a group of intellectually challenged differently abled children who showcased their talents in magic here.

The surprise move by the VVIP occurred after the inauguration of the 'Anuyatra' (Walking Together) initiative, an ambitious drive of Kerala government to empower differently challenged children, at Tagore Theatre this evening.

The children, the brand ambassadors of the Anuyatra initiative, put up various performances, including changing the colour of flowers, card tricks and so on with exemplary precision before the packed audience.

Moved by the stunning performance of 'little magicians' who transcended their disabilities with their skills, Ansari walked to the stage and applauded the children and interacted with them for some time.

The Vice President also found time to take pictures along with the children-- boys and girls studying in various special and buds schools in the district.

He also appreciated eminent magician Gopinath Muthukad, who trained the children for the last three months for the initiative.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Social Justice Minister K K Shylaja were also among those present at the venue.
