Vice President M Hamid Ansari today condoled the passing away of former Rajya Sabha member Ramdas Agrawal, whom he described as a stalwart leader and active parliamentarian.
Veteran BJP leader Agrawal died in Jaipur after a prolonged illness. He was 80.
In a message, Ansari said Agrawal was known for his organizational capabilities and philanthropic pursuits and was a three-time member.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the demise of senior BJP leader Shri Ramdas Agrawal. I convey my sincere condolences to the bereaved members of the family and join the nation in praying for eternal peace for the departed soul," the Rajya Sabha Chairman said in his message.
