Veteran actor Anthony Hopkins will join John Travolta and Kelly Preston in the mobster biopic "Gotti".

Director Joe Johnston recently signed on for the Relativity Media film following the departure of Barry Levinson.

The previous iteration of the film, which was titled "Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father", was to star Travolta and Preston alongside Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Lindsay Lohan, Ben Foster and Chazz Palminteri, reported Digital Spy.

Travolta will star as 'Dapper Don' John Gotti Jr, a Gambini family mobster who died in prison in 2002 after serving ten years for murder, extortion, racketeering, loan-sharking, illegal gambling and tax evasion.

Hopkins recently played the title role in the Hitchcock biopic. He will next be seen in "RED 2" and reprising his role as Odin in "Thor: The Dark World".
