"We are warning the Trinamool Congress Government, that if they continue to adopt this sort of attitude, where physical violence and attacks can be conducted and nobody can be booked, then this situation cannot be tolerated," CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat told reporters here.
CPI(M) would take up the matter nationally to see that the "Trinamool Congress Government is forced to accept the rule of law and take action against those who indulge in violence," he said.
"Former West Bengal Minister and CPI(M) MLA Abdul Rezzak Mollah was injured in an alleged attack last week by Trinamool workers and 85 party cadres have been killed since the May 2011 Assembly elections in the state," he alleged.
"The state of affairs is such that the people injured are not being admitted in Government hospitals. They are being turned away. This is unheard of."
To a query, Karat said the main Opposition party did not ask for imposition of President's rule in Bengal but sought that Mamata Banerjee Government is made accountable.
To another query, he felt that Governor M K Narayanan "objectively stated the state of affairs" when he reportedly said "goondaism" was taking place under the Trinamool rule.

Karat also said CPI(M) is opposed to applying cash transfer scheme to subsidies being given for foodgrains, fertilisers among others.
The cash provided to the beneficiaries would not meet the requirement to buy foodgrains as inflation goes up and also the money might be spent on other necessities, he said.
"We will not accept this linkage to the unique identification number (Aadhar) that is being given. This is another attempt to restrict the welfare measures. In the forthcoming (Parliament) session, we shall be taking up this issue. The UID Bill has not yet been passed by Parliament," he said.
CPI(M) would also seek reversal of rail fare hike in the Budget session of Parliament, he added.
