Anti-haemophilic factor kits distributed among poor children

Medical kits containing anti-haemophilic factors were distributed free of cost to children suffering from the genetic disorder here by Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited.

Senior officials of the PSU-major handed out the kits to the beneficiaries belonging to poor families as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during an event here yesterday.

Senior BHEL official Amitabh Mathur stressed upon the need to carry out preventive measures to curb the spread of the disease through carrier detection and pre-natal diagnosis.

Haemophilia is a genetically transmitted and life-long bleeding disorder which can lead to disability and even death of the affected person, especially children, if left untreated.
