"Accused Inspector Parmanand Sharma, who is posted in Kota, was among the five alleged of abducting one Satyanarayan from a village in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh on June 28," SHO Gumanpura (Kota), Sanjay Sharma, said.
They had raised a ransom demand of Rs 15 lakh for Satyanarayan's release after which the joint team arrested the five accused during a raid.
The four others were identified as Motilal, Naharlal, Tribhuvan and Hariom, he said, adding that Satyanarayan was freed in the raid operation.
