Police intensified anti-sabotage checks and enhanced security at different places of the city in the wake of serial blasts today in the pilgrimage town of Bodh Gaya in Bihar.

"We have been conducting anti-sabotage checks involving personnel from special units and local police for the past 10 days in public places including at shopping complexes, cinema halls, malls, railway stations and bus stands.

"(As a result of) today's blasts, we have further enhanced vigil and frisking operations," a senior police officer told PTI.

Twin blasts in the city's Dilsukhnagar area on Feburary 21 this year had killed at least 17 people and injured 100 others. The NIA is investigating the incident.
