Granting bail, Justice G M Akbar Ali directed the MP to execute a bond for Rs one lakh and furnish two sureities to the satisfaction of the Judicial Magistrate concerned and appear before the police daily for 15 days continuously after the current Parliament session.
Till then, he has been told to report before the police on every Saturday and Sunday.
One Deivanayaki and her son Palani had lodged two separate complaints with Kancheepuram district police, alleging the MP and two others had forged documents and sold nearly five acres of land at Pappankuzhi in the district.
The District Crime Branch had registered a case.
