Spanish actor Antonio Banderas will star in a film about the 33 Chilean miners who were trapped underground for two months.
The 52-year-old Hollywood heartthrob has joined the cast of "Los 33", which reveals how the men survived their incredible ordeal while the world watched with bated breath, reported Daily Star.
Film director Patricia Riggen confirmed Banderas will star in the movie.

The miners were imprisoned 2,300ft below ground after a cave-in at the San Jose mine in the Atacama Desert, 500 miles north of the capital Santiago, in August 2010.
They had spent 17 days eating just two spoons of tuna, a few sips of milk and half a biscuit a day before they were located in an underground refuge. They were rescued weeks later after a sophisticated drilling operation.
