Antwerp-Mumbai ties growing stronger, says Belgium minister

During his meeting with Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan here, Belgium's Minister for Administrative Affairs, Local and Provincial Government and Tourism Geert Bourgeois said Indians are playing an important role in the diamond business in Belgium.

He said Belgium is now focusing on Europe-bound tourists from India and mentioned that Antwerp, which has one of the biggest Jain temples outside India, has become a major attraction for Indian tourists.

The Minister told the Governor that Belgium will be hosting a big exhibition of Master Flemish artists and painters in Mumbai next year.

The Minister also told the Governor that a large delegation of 300-350 business leaders will be visiting Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai next year for talks with their Indian counterparts.
