Anup, Tejasvini to lead Indian kabaddi challenge in SAG

Anup Kumar and Tejasvini Bai will

lead the Indian men's and women's kabaddi teams respectively during their title defence in the South Asian Games to held at Guwahati from February 5 to 16.

The Assistant Secretary of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India, Deoraj Chaturvedi, announced the two squads today.

"The teams have been selected after coaching camps held in recent past. The selection camp of the Indian Men's section was held in Jaipur from January 20th to 28th and during it the probables also played a friendly game against the former pro kabaddi champions Pink Panthers," Chaturvedi said.

"Anup Kumar and Tejasvini Bai have been named as the captains of the men's and women's team respectively and would be defending their titles," he added.
 

The Teams:

Men: Anup Kumar (captain), Sandeep, Mohit Chillar, Suresh Hegde, Kashiling Adake, Vishal Mane, Deepak, Surender, Rohit Kumar, Surjeet, Rahul Choudhary, Mahendra Reddy.

Coaches - Balwan Singh, Jaiveer Sharma, Manager - V. Veerlankaiaha.

Women: Tejasvani Bai (Captain), Priyanka, Kavita, Payal Chowdhary, Abhilasha Mhatre, Snehal Shinde, Usha Rani, Sakshi Kumari, Sumitra Sharma, Priyanka Negi, Neetu Singh, Hasina Begum.

Coaches - Neeta Dadwe, Chandni Kumari, Manager- Menu Saha Chowdhary.
