Press Trust of India New Delhi
Designer Anupama Dayal paid an ode to the national capital through her historical, mughal-inspired autumn-winter collection at the Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW).

The line aptly called Jamali Kamali was the designer's attempt to embrace the living history of Delhi.

The colours were inspired by sandstone and the multiple colours it weathers into like ecru, sand, tones of red, ochre and even shades of pale blue.

Flowing and light fabrics were used like chiffons and silks teamed with cotton brocades.

The prints reflected the monuments in the city - Mughal flowers, pietra Duras, Islamic graphics and the fabled roses.
