Former India defender Anwar Ali, who suffered a heart attack on Tuesday, is improving and will be released in a couple of days, cardiologist Dr Sunip Banerjee said today.
"We are keeping him under observation as he's being administered some medicines. His condition has improved and we are hopeful that he will be released in a couple of days," Dr Banerjee of Medica Superspecialty Hospital said.
The East Bengal defender was returning from practice on Tuesday when he suffered the heart attack as his teammate Gurwinder Singh rushed him to the hospital on EM Bypass.
